Participate Now in the HATS 2026 Public Participation Plan

This Public Participation Plan (PPP) serves as a guidebook for the public to engage in the transportation and decision-making process. It provides a framework to ensure that the HATS transportation planning process includes a proactive participation process and complies with federal participation plan requirements. This PPP identifies current and previous outreach efforts and outlines steps to be taken to improve public participation and supersedes any past resolutions or documents related to public participation developed or adopted by HATS. HATS understands the importance of early and continued involvement of the public, relevant public agencies, and stakeholders by providing reasonable access to information, timely public notices, and full public access to key decisions in the development of the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and other plans.
