Using Reverse Fiscal Impact Analysis in Pre-Disaster Planning
Fiscal impact analysis is commonly used to determine the impact of land development on a municipal, county or school budget. However, with a few tweaks, it can also be used as part of pre- or post-disaster planning and hazard mitigation planning to determine the impact of property buy-outs on these same budgets, and is thus called a “reverse” fiscal impact analysis. This webinar will provide a practitioner’s guide to performing a reverse fiscal impact analysis and case studies from flood-prone communities.
