TCRPC’s 2017 luncheon was held May 4 at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel in Swatara Township. Over 120 people attended.
Our keynote speaker was PennDOT Secretary Leslie S. Richards, who touched on a variety of transportation issues affecting state and local government, particularly the PennDOT Connects program and how it benefits municipalities. She also took a number of questions from attendees.
During the luncheon we were pleased to hold a food drive for the Central PA Food Bank. Attendees donated over 200 pounds of food -- enough for 125 meals for local families in need.
Don't forget: 1 CM credit is available to planners who attended, courtesy of the Central Section of the American Planning Association's Pennsylvania Chapter.
Please watch for news about next year's annual program. It's a great opportunity for elected leaders, municipal officials, planners, developers, engineers and others to dine together, network and discuss the region’s future.
