Southeastern PA Transit Providers:

AmTran buses and vans serve the Altoona Metropolitan Area.  This area includes the City of Altoona, the Townships of Logan and Allegheny, and the Boroughs of Hollidaysburg and Duncansville.  AmTran's main departure and transfer point is the Transit Center located on 10th Avenue in Downtown Altoona.  AmTran's second busiest transfer and departure point is the transfer center at the Logan Valley Mall, outside the Applebee's entrance.  AmTran also provides special "loop" service to the primary off campus housing areas of the Altoona Campus of the Pennsylvania State University.  AmTran operates eleven regular bus routes, several routes that will pick up passengers at specific locations with advanced reservations, and two shuttle routes.  The shuttle routes serve either the Downtown Altoona area or Duncansville and Hollidaysburg.  Three of the eleven regular routes have "call stops" that make the bus available at certain locations with an advanced call.  Service is provided on Weekdays and Saturday between 6 AM and 10 PM.
